Based of the stories of Angela Carter
Angela Carter's classic tale has been adapted by theatre company Burn the Curtain into a promenade adventure for runners and walkers. Join Burn the Curtain in the re-telling of this dark and mysterious modern classic. 

We need you to walk with us, the route will be approximately 3 miles for walkers and the story will be performed along the way. To take part in the show, please come prepared for physical activity, (walking), with appropriate clothing and good footwear. Please also bring a torch or a head torch.

Show duration is approximately 2.5 hours, including an interval.  A free mug of hot chocolate is provided during the interval.

Dogs are not permitted at this event. 

Due to the nature of the event, we regret this is not suitable for wheelchair users or the less mobile.
The event is suitable for children aged 8 plus, if accompanied by an adult.

Halloween Fear in the Forest

Dalby's Halloween event for 2017!

The overall event runs from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. This includes selecting a specific time to visit the main feature - a half-mile trail through the forest (trail element takes approximately 40-45 minutes). Other activities are included in the ticket price. The Terrorising Tombola is not included in the ticket price and is on a pay per play basis.


Parking is included in your ticket and is free for event attendees.


Our standard terms and conditions apply, plus the following ones specific to this event:

*There will be a specific time slot for starting the walk, please arrive at the trail start 10 minutes before your entry time. Late arrivals can not be guaranteed access to the trail.
* Please bring a torch (but be prepared to switch off when instructed).
* Not suitable for children under 5 years of age (under 5's at parental discretion, free of charge and do not require a ticket).
* Trail is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchair access.
* Dogs are not permitted (accept for assistance dogs).

Enchanted Christmas

Westonbirt Arboretum's Enchanted Christmas features a spectacular one mile illuminated trail, highlighting the striking structures of Westonbirt’s trees as they are illuminated against the winter night sky.

Due to high demand advanced booking is essential for any night of the event.
Timeslots are in operation. Your chosen time is for entrance to the trail only. You can arrive at the event from 5pm.

Children under 5 can attend free of charge and do not require a ticket.

Group discounts apply to advance bookings of 10 or more tickets. Select the required tickets and add to your basket and the group discount will be calculated.

Friends of Westonbirt membership discount is available on Friday evenings only. Children or grandchildren of Friends members should select the discounted child price (£2.00). 

Visitors who require an essential carer to attend with them, should contact the box office.

In addition to our standard terms and conditions, dogs are not permitted at the event (except assistance dogs)

Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott

With special guest Billy Bragg.

Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott’s latest album ‘Crooked Calypso’ charted at no 2 making it their highest release as a duo to date following on from two further top 5 albums.  Paul Heaton, one of the UK’s most successful songwriters, first came to public attention as front man of The Housemartins.   Heaton also formed The Beautiful South, who released 10 hugely successful albums. Jacqui Abbott was lead vocalist in The Beautiful South from ’94 to 2000.  The Forest Live gigs will see them play material from their albums as a duo and songs from The Beautiful South and the Housemartins.
